Anybody here familiar with the following error message when printing? This is a laser printer connected through USB., OS XP Pro.
"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware because a previous instance of the device driver is still in memory. (Code 38)"

Yes, I saw that , but the troubleshooting didn't help.
I can print soon after a reboot. If I print after awhile , an error message pop up as printer is not connected, etc.... When I go to Device Manager, I see the yellow mark for the printer and under properties the error message (... driver is still in memory. (Code 38)" is displayed. The only way I can print again is to reboot.
I have to reboot every time I print if it is after a long time once turn on the PC.
