HELLO EVERYBODY
G8 site!!!!!
H3h3

Any way i got 0.5 mb Adsl connection and i am playing alot of cS

i just moved to xp and started to get A HIGH PING LIKE 100- 3000
!!!!@!
the iS BIG!!

on 98 i didnot had that problem

my connections:
TCP options string = 0204055001010402
MTU = 1400
MTU is not fully optimized for broadband. Consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for better throughput.
MSS = 1360
MSS is not fully optimized for broadband (although it might work well for slower connections). Consider increasing your MTU value.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 17680
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 17680

RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
522240 (MSS x 48 * scale factor of 8)
261120 (MSS x 48 * scale factor of 4)
130560 (MSS x 48 * scale factor of 2)
65280 (MSS x 48)
bandwidth * delay product:

Your RcvWindow limits you to: 707.2 kbps (88.4 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 282.88 kbps (35.36 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
Consider increasing your RWIN value to optimize TCP/IP for broadband.
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 122 hops

TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349) = 00000000

Welcome to Speedguide:D, who is your ISP? It says your MTU is 1400, AOHELL is the only ISP that uses a low MTU like that, if you are using AOHELL then don't bother trying to tweak your connection, they don't use the standard TCP/IP protocols. If your ISP is not AOHELL then please tell us is your DSL line PPPoE or normal DSL?

:D :cool:

dsl mtu 1500
dslpppoe mtu 1492

try using raspppoe (http://www.raspppoe.com) if you have pppoe
