Folding

Somebody care to help me out setting folding up on my lappy?

Lets just stay I'm a n00b. lol

I don't have either installed right now but it's so simple even YOU should be able to figure it out.

The only things to really enter manually are user name and team.

user: Humboldt
team: 15

LOL, this is really in the wrong forum btw:nod:

It only has to be connected to the net when you down the initial core to start working on.

After that it will take many hours, maybe a day or several depending on the system and how often it's running. When it's done you connect to the net, send the completed results back and get a new work unit to start folding, then you can be disconnected again.

Question

What if when I go home and I do a clean install on my laptop here, do I just reinstall the program?

How does it work on two machines. I plan on having on my pc's at home. We'll be on dial-up at home so I'll just tell her not to turn the pc off, just the monitor right?

but clean install..
be sure to use the same name and team 15

just turn teh monitors off..

you can configure it so that it wont connect until you tell it to..(when you're online of course)

So do I want the screensaver or the console. I like the look of the screensaver but with it only fold when on?

If so which one do I want. lol I should have ask this question 2 years ago. :(

I'm not sure but I do think the screensaver will fold only when it is on...

most ppls use the console version..it also runs quicker..(that's what I heard anyways...)
