I finally got my game PC back up and running, does anybody fly anymore?
I'd like to play some CFS3 sometime.
i just reinstalled it the other day, tried it a few times now that i can crank up the visuals with my system.

i just set the throttle on the joy stick in the middle and then bind 2 keys on the keyboard for up and down, then just use the keyboard for faster adjustments. works great for the helicopters.

Fly a lot, bf1942.
Early mornings (EST) before work, I usually catch Faust for some Pacific battles. I'm just waking up with coffee...he's home from work on the west coast slamming beers...rubbing it in.
Nightime for me....just hop around my usual EA servers.
I'd fly with ya RE, but when I upgraded my sound card I lost the gameport for my old MS sidewinder:( Gotta look into getting a gameport card. Then when FS2004 comes out a Flight Yoke and Rudder Pedals.

do you recomend flying wide open throttle on the regular versoin of BF? I have my joystick with the throttle and it seems that i keep flying by without time to drop bombs or gun down anything.... also does the reverse do airbrakes when in the air?
thanks

i recommend full throttle most of the time. if you slow down you become an easier target for AA and other planes and such. your controls also get more sluggish. i will work the throttle when trying to engage another plane in a dogfight. you can decrease your turning radius by decreasing the throttle, but again its best to go back to full throttle. unless you are in a faster plane (Zero vs. SBD for example) than the enemy. then you have problems of overrunning their plane before you get enough lead into them to bring them down.
it takes practice, but i would suggest getting used to bombing with an opent hrottle..... unless you are on a torpedo run. then you need to slow way down and skim the water.
the helicopters in DC mod are a different story..... they require a LOT of throttle work,
