Hey Im new to this board. Anyways lately my cable modem has been completely horrible on Kazaa i get under 1 kb all the time. Im usally in the .5 kb's. Now i know that sometimes I have a bad connection to the other person and that could be causing a slow dl but this happens all the time now I never see a speed higher then 5 kb. Is there anything i can do to fix this problem any information will be appreciated.

KaZaA is FULL of spyware, first uninstall it and then install KaZaA Lite, then read the Help & Tips link in my signature and follow the spyware removal section.

another thing i can suggest is get a new version of kazaa lite. i had the same problem, i was donwloading sow as heck but as soon as i go on my moms comp which had a different version it was fast. so i uninstalled the old one i had and installed teh new one Kazaa lite 2.1.0(based on KMD 2.0.2) which has the K++ version 2.0.3 v. use that one. download it at www.kazaalite.tk

I did not have the recent version I just dled it and I am still getting less then 1 kb
Part of your problem could be the KaZaA rating system, the thing that supposedly rewards ppl with more uploads/shared files which could be really discouraging to new users and partly why I never liked the system.
Try eDonkey or eMule...
I find eMule to be very fast, however it has a lot of bugs/compatibility issue
Even in the worst case scenario, i find eDonkey much better than KaZaA

KaZaA lite does not have any problems with that pl is always 1000 if you set it to do that
try using the speed up addon or jump to another node that might help
I get up to 190 kb/s dl's by doing that
hmmm emule is better btw than edonkey
winmx works better as a 2nd choice than jacka** lol

I just wanted to point out also that the DL will depend on the source as well. Even if you have a T3 or something, if it's a slow connection on the other end, it will take a while. Trash in - Trash out you know. :)
Also, I could just be an un-informed moron, and not know what I am talking about... heheh not like that's happened before or something.... :) Heh oh well, just a thought anyway! :)
yes, very crappy sources at times, but I sometimes get a good source that sends me stuff at 60-126Kbps. boy I like those nodes;) also, if I am extremely lucky my total download speed for the whole thing is 200-300Kbps

yeah seriously if i get lucky and get a good source ive reached speed of 350 through out half of the download then dropped to about 300 and up. this is with the new version of kazaa lite. just hope you find good sources.
edit: forgot to add that when i get crappy sources (which i cancel right away and look for a better source) ill get like 1kB. just look around and check a bunch of sources and youll find a good one sooner or later
