Hi,
I'm using an alcatel Pro modem for my ADSL connection. My modem serves as a router, which makes me connected all the time to the net.
My problems start when there's a problem on my isp's side. The modem keeps trying to connect, which is the sound thing to do, but for security reasons, a problem is created. My isp requires the use of a secure id card, which changes my password each 30 seconds. Since the modem isn't aware of the password change, it keeps trying. Since it uses a wrong pw, my isp classifies me as an intruder. Each time such a problem arises, I must call me isp, reset my secure id, and connect.
My question is: Is there a way to set an alcatel pro modem NOT to try to login, or to try only a prespecified number of times?
