Every time I try to take a picture, my camera reads "System Error" as it's writing to the CF card. Think it's just a card gone bad?

format the card internally on the camera a couple of times, if that dont work try another CF card. and if that dont work. send it back most of the cards have 1 year warrenties. i had a 64mb smart media card go on me, and was replaced graciously by sandisk.


BTW: what camera/card are you using.

SanDisk 128 MB CF card with a Nikon Coolpix 800.

Sorry, I was engrossed in Discovery Channel programming this evening.

I tried formatting, everything...I think the card has just gone bad. Unfortunately, I don't have a spare CF card nor do I know anyone who has one to test out.

Well, it's working fine now, out of the blue. Flakiness shall not be tolerated in the world of Burke.
