View Full Version : What is hkcmd in XP? keeps crashing

jsut installed XP Pro on a fresh machine and everytime I boot up, I get the following:
hkcmd module has encountered a porblem and needs to close
after i close it then get more explorer error messages
any ideas?

hkcmd.exe Installed by the Intel 810 and 815 chipset graphic drivers. If you want the Ctrl+Alt+F12 or similar keypresses to access Intel's customised graphics properties, you need it, otherwise not. Can be disabled via the Display Properties in Control Panel

i know what it is i bet i installed a secondary vga card for dual monitor i wonder if they are conflicting going to disbale it tomororw at work
