Man, is this game BORING.

Same mission every time: kill all the terrorists, save the hostages.

Glad I borrowed it instead of buying the thing.

Yeah but some of them at least TRY and mix it up, making it interesting. MOHAA and Spearhead are good at that, since they have a solid historical foundation to build upon. Rainbow Six games are always the same.

I concur... how many ways could they put a terrorist in a situation without offending anyone... not many...

altho don't u think it'd be fun if we can coop on those missions? that'd be cool..

While the Rainbow Six (and other like games) do give you quite a bit of freedom compared to most FPS games, when it comes down to it, you can just simply go in shooting. If you're skilled enough at that, you can usually do so without taking too many losses, and take down all of your targets before they have a chance to kill any hostages.

However, I did enjoy the loop that SWAT 3 had given us. Not only was the hostage rescue a big part of the missions, but you were more or less forced to try and be non-lethal against the enemy. While it would be easier to take them down with a single headshot, if it came to force, you were supposed to shoot him in the leg (assuming you go for your gun), and try and arrest him at that point. Definately added another layer of difficulty to the game, as well as a bit of realism.

Haven't played much of Raven Shield, but I haven't been impressed so far. But I do have high hopes for Rainbow Six 3...

Movement of the game is just WAY to slow for me. :( Always liked the pace of Rogue Spear. If only it was the same speed.

These games are best played online, raven is a good game but it has the slow movement after getting shot, added to that the size of maps has made this game a bore.

The new versions of older games are never as good :(

I remember in old RS, we use to play the hospital map alot. Very small map, with gun fighting through 1 door, man was that fun! One team on the inside, one on the outside.

Raven shield needs more maps like Hospital and good ole Bunkers!

anyone here ever read the book Rainbow six??? It sorta gives the game a little more depth. I used to just play it like a shoot em up and if I lost team members, oh well. Now however, after getting to know the characters (that are in the game and the book) i play as though even one casualty is unacceptable.
makes the game a bit more interesting and strategy based.....however I haven't playe Raven yet, but looking forward to it.
