Quake 3 anyone?

Anyone here still play Q3A?


Its the only semi recent game I own, just started playing again, was wondering if anyone would want to start up a server, I only have about 200Kb/s upload so I dunno how well I could serve a game but I could try. I was just wondering if anyone here played I guess.

i play it every day. very addicting game for me, and have never found out why. i guess the competition is very good, since everyone has mastered the game by now.

I play it on a regular basis. I also play Q3 Team Arena. I'll see if I can host a game sometime. I'll keep ya posted thru here or PM.

I still play it daily...i have all the new games too yet still play this damn game...sigh
I like the Freeze Tag mod...awesome team game.


i usually play at these servers:

www.junkphreak.com

and use the q3plug thingy so i dont have to use one of those 3rd party server finders....just connect straight from a webpage

that sounds just like me lol. i don't know why i bother buying these new games like bf1942, because in a couple days i just end up going back to quake 3 arena and playing it way too often. i certainly got my $29.99 out of it though when i bought it

I love freeze tag as well! I will check out those websites you listed, also what is this q3plug thingy your talking about? sounds handy!!

Q3 plug is a plugin for your browser that lets you scan servers and connect to them directly from a webpage...you can ping the server and see who is in there as well as what map and so forth

I cant get that plug to work, I followed directions, patched dll into IE/patches, ran the IE fix, rebooted.

Is there a web page I need to go to see a list of the servers?

I dont have any of the maps those guys are playing do they have a special set I need to dload?

Sorry, I haven't played games in sooo damn long except for everquest. I remember having do Dload maps and stuff but dont remember where I got them.

Can ya help me out?

update, I downloaded the threewave 82mB package and installed and still no luck. Not sure where to go from here

That's one thing i always loved about the unreal series, if you didn't have the map you would automatically download it from the server.

Most q3 servers are that way to, except my favorite one at Allrails...umm...hook up with me sometime on icq or aim and i will shoot em too ya. most of the ones for allrails is on their website.
