Im trying to find a way to make my pictures look better on my new palm pilot thing. I believe that its only 256 colors, so that when i put the pictures on it they all seem to have colors that contrast alot! How with photoshop can i get that down a bit? I kinda want them to blend a bit more and look a bit better. Also is there a way to get the palm pilot up to 16 bit? I saw somewhere that mine was capable of that...its a handspring treo 90.....anyone know?
thanks

I think the contrast lines (if you meant that instead of dithering) are a consequence of using few (256) colors. If you use the Save For Web option and choose gif from the drop down box, it'll give you several options to create indexed color from RGB color. You can play around with it and see if the Perspective/Adaptive/Selective, Diffusion/Pattern options improve your image. You can also specify the # of colors in the image, but if it's a photo I'd choose the max for gifs, which is 256.
Ultimately, 256 colors aren't going to look that good for photos though.
