Hi. I have a network with 1 win 98 se, 1 win 98, and 1 XP Pro laptop (simple file sharing enabled). The 98's are connected wired to a Linksys WAP/router. The XP laptop is connected wirelessly. When the laptop is not connected to the network, I can see the 98 se computer in network neighborhood from itself. When the laptop is connected, with file and print sharing disabled (on the network adapter), I cannot see the win 98 computer on itself anymore. If I enable the XP laptop file and print sharing, then I can see all the computers on the SE machine. Does the XP, because it has print and file sharing disabled on the wireless adapter take over the network, in the network neighborhood? I can see the win 98 computer on the xp laptop when the file and print sharing is disabled on the xp laptop, and use the printer connected to the 98 machine. When I can't browse the network on the 98 machine and see itself, I can go to find computer, and it find itself fine. ??? Thanks.
