View Full Version : How many of you are into classic gaming?
I have been using Mame32 for some time now....well over 2 years.
I love it.
One of my all time favorite titles....Super Zaxxon came up in the news because a fella has recently beaten the long standing record(20 years).
I can remember playing Zaxxon on my Colecovision.
It blew me away.
Just thought I'd share the fun:

Wow what a blast from the past....Zaxxon. With that cool diagonal birds eye perspective.
I loved Star Castle....really old game where you're fly around this ring of circles...trying to get to the center.
The old original Battlezone......line drawn 3D tank game.
One of the early fighting games....Yi R KungFu.....could choose various weapons...like a very early Mortal Combat.
Tail Gunner....you'd sit down in this enclosure, have a joystick between your legs, in a spaceship flying forward...shooting enemy fighters coming from behind.
Fighter Pilot...another cool one.
Lets start a list of some memorable oldies!
How bout 1941, 1942, & 1943 for starters.:D
1943: The Battle of Midway was my fav back in the day.
I also loved Choplifter as well.

Super Metroid and Fzero (SNES)
Yep, i used to play one game of Galaga until i would get tired of it and give my game away or just end it. (anyone remember the cheat for it?)

Heehee...guess our agegroups are showing now, if Doom3 is considered classic. I was thinking about arcade games in the 70's. Early PC games I'd think the first Castle Wolfenstien.
PC games that got me into gaming hardcore, I'd say Duke Nukem, and Aces over Europe.....then I got bit by the bug. Then Quake 1 came out....and it was all over for me......I was thoroughly addicted.
Guys....FZERO would make me puke after about 20 minutes LOL!:D That game was oh so fun but I guess it just didn't agree with me.
Remember Pitfall????
Old arcade games just rock when you think about it.
Spyhunter anyone????:D
