Still drops

My internet connection still drops.I downloaded firmware upgrades for router,I setup my lan as static.What else is there to do?

I dont know if this means anything but when i go into command and netstat -n its shows 192.168.0.1:80 closing.Isnt that my gateway so that shouldnt be closing right?

if not i hate to ask this but can you give me the quick lowdown on whats goin on?

you can slap me for askin this, but, did you call your isp and ask them to monitor your line to see if in fact its an internal(yourend) or external(their end) problem ?

what type of router? and yes 192.168.0.1 is your gateway
if something is closing off port 80 which is what Ie uses sounds like maybe something on your puter? or do you mean, that something possibly with the router is closing port 80?
could be a virus

does the connection drop when you connect directly to your modem ?
