TCP options string = 020405b401030300
MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.
MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which equals MSS.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 64240
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 64240
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 2569.6 kbps (321.2 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 1027.84 kbps (128.48 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = OFF
Time to live left = 49 hops
TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = OFF
IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 01011100
Precedence (priority) = 010 (immediate)
Delay = 1 (low delay)
Throughput = 1 (high throughput)
Reliability = 1 (high reliability)
Cost = 0 (normal cost)

Read this (http://forums.speedguide.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=73799) thread. Might help.
Welcome to Speed Guide.
:)
Was it This old thread (http://forums.speedguide.net/showthread.php?threadid=102120) of yours that helped you before?
You never did come back and reply.

Yes that was my old thread after that my connection was perfect and was what it was but now after since i formated after a stupid mistake on my part...... these are my specs.....AMD 1.8ghz,256mb of ram,windows98se,Rogers@home service,
this is what i have done so far if anything at all to help myself

any further help would be grateful since i am open minded and in need

Have you applied what you learned in that old thread?

No you haven't applied what you learned in the old thread, those are not the settings I gave you.

First you need to set your MTU to 1500 and use the settings I suggested and see how they work. :)

You need to set your MTU to 1500. If you have a Linksys NIC disable the "priority packet" settings under the advanced tab, also try the MTU fixes in my Help & Tips link.
:D ;) :cool:
