I need help:
I have a DSL connection in Mexico that I have had for about 2 months. For the first 40 days everything was fine. Now it is very slow to contact the requesting page. Once it gets there it runs fine, but it lags 30-60 seconds just to contact the page. If I am downloading a large file, no problem, the problem only exists when I am trying to get to the site or anytime I am clicking my way from link to link. It just seems to stall! It just seems to stall! Is the best was to describe the problem. The stall can be 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
Running Win98(2nd) with an Efficient Networks 5667 modem.
I tried running a Tweak patch on this site, that didn’t help.
I deleted the modem software, and reinstalled, that didn’t work.
I removed any recently installed programs, thinking there might be a conflict, that didn’t work.
I re-installed Explorer, that didn’t work.
I reset my Explorer setting, that didn’t work.
Ran a bandwidth test and it was fine. (248k Mexico is a bit slower)
Also did a ping test and that was fine too.
Tech support for Telnor in Mexico is the worst.
Thanks-
