Don't use ZAP, it causes more problems than it's worth, give Sygate a try.

:D ;)

Hey dud89.

If you use Zone Alarm 2.6,
you will be asked if you want to let Netscape 7 / Mozilla 1.0 act as a server.

You are asked this because the password manager within Mozilla needs to use this functionality (to connect to your localhost). Rest assured that this is not a security risk; if you prevent Mozilla from acting as a server, Mozilla may function without severe impairment - however password manager related features may not work correctly.

If you use Zone Alarm 3.0 Pro,
Mozilla may not be able to connect to any websites, before you disable Zone Alarm Pro's built in "Privacy" feature.

This particular feature of Zone Alarm Pro controls Cookie Blocking, Ad Blocking and "Mobile Code" (script) blocking.

You disable this feature just for Mozilla (and not for your whole computer - otherwise other browsers which can use this feature successfully will have to do without it). You can disable Privacy just for Mozilla by going to the "Programs" tab in Zone Alarm Pro 3.0, and then turning the privacy setting for Mozilla (within the list of programs) to "Off".

and just to top it all, here's a bit of slightly offtopic info:

There is a known (yet unpublicized) and severe bug/security hole in Norton Internet Security/ Norton Personal Firewall, when Mozilla is used with it.

Because Norton Internet Security is unable to read certain characters in Mozilla's name, the following can happen: if you make a rule to allow Mozilla to always access the Internet without your permission, your firewall (Norton Internet Security) promptly allows *all* other programs in the future to access the Internet, without your permission.

As you may realize, this make the firewall practically useless. If you use Norton Internet Security, please notify Symantec of this problem. I switched to Zone Alarm Pro because of this problem.

When referrers are blocked, links at Netscape.com do not work:

A second strange phenomenon occurs while using Norton Internet Security (NIS) with Mozilla: if you have configured NIS to block referrers, no links at the newly redesigned Netscape.com will work (you will get an error with the code "404 - file not found"). To solve this problem, enable referrers in NIS.

Copy/Paste is a wonderful tool. ;) Hope you find this useful.
