I am stuck... I am still using my old netgear modem to share but I want to use the Surfboard modem tho share.
Can someone give me an idea

Someone mentioned on my game to try bridging the modem????

ok here's how it goes... yer modem prolly has a mac addy ... and u might have to enter that into your router
when u get into the router menu.. click on advanced and then clone mac addy
type in the addy...
I don't quite know how to find the addy in winxp.. hopefully someone will be around..

C:\>arp -a
should give you the mac of your modem and router along with any other macs in your collision domain.
This could be NAT issue since SURFBoard does not support it.
However, I'm not certain. Wish I could be of more help.
Have you hooked your modem up straight to your NIC? Does it work? Are these store bought cables that you are using?

Works fine when I connect the modem to the nic... but when I try to connect the modem to the linksys router ... the lights for that port on the router do not light.. I used both path and crossover cable
Immortal: AT&T uses the nic mac addy in there registry. so i have to clone the nic card with the router so AT&T think my router is my nic card in the computer
Is Mississauga near notre damn du bois wait notre dame des bois is in qubec... oops ?
