GOT MY 2nd NIC NOW WAT???

i wanted to network me and my bros comps together so we can both use the cable internet. people said i had to get a second NIC so i did. this is how i set it up

modem into first nic in my comp
cord from hub in TP1 to my second nic
cord in TP2 to my bros nic

now we can file share but the net doesnt work on his comp but it works in mine. and 'My' ip has changed. and i have to computers in network connections lan 1, lan 2

dont worry its workin!!!! and the net on both comps is fast, even though its goin through a 10base ethernet hub

You would've been better off buying a router, then hooking up the modem and both PCs to that router... The advantage is that you can have either PC running independently of the other...

It works with two NICs and some ICS software as you've found out as well... The Internet connection is much slower than your hub, so you shouldn't see any performance degradation... Hubs are ok for a few PCs, over that collisions start to play a role.
