I have a laser printer connected through a USB port in WinXP SP1. I can print soon after a boot. Some reason the printer doesn’t print after a while running the PC but if I reboot it, the printer works again. The error is “printer is not connected properly”.
When I check under the Device Manager/USB controllers, there is a yellow mark for the respective USB driver. After a reboot, the yellow mark goes away and I can print but later the same error appears as I print.
I assume that some service has to be enabled. Which service is necessary for the proper function of any USB controller? Anyone knows?
