I have two recebt XP computers networked with a Linksys workgroup switch which works just fine.
When I got my NTL cable modem installed they connected it through the USB on one PC. Now I would like to allow the second PC to access the internet and email through the cable modem. Question is - as the modem is connected to the main computer via USB, is it possible to use ICS? and if so HOW???

Any help would be greatl appreciated - and I understand that still have AOL dialup installed on both might be a problem?!

Thanks

Install a regular Network Card (NIC) in both computers.

Connect the two computers with a CAT5 Crossover Cable.

Instructions to configure ICS here:

Windows XP Internet Connection sharing. (http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp_ics/ )

If it does not work or it is quirky and you want to have comfortable life.

Vigor Router for USB $129 (http://www.bestsystemsdirect.com/html/products/2200usb.htm)
