I currently have an ethernet cable for one of my PC's running along side my coax cable for my cable modem, both of which are tucked under the baseboards to hide them.

Does anyone know if running them together can cause any interference?

Since the cable outlet is behind my wife's desk, I guess I could move the modem and router to her desk, and then run my ethernet cable under the baseboard to her desk, but I am kinda picky about being able to see all the pretty lights;)

Your fine. Just make sure you don't run your ethernet and coax cables with electrical cords or wiring. ;)

Coax cable can run together with any thing, that why it is Coax, it does not let interference in or out.

CAT5 i.e. regular Network Cable better be alone. If it runs with or close to 110V will not be a problem

The BAD is the Telephone cable. When the Tel. rings it generates pulses over 90V that would interrupt Networks Working.
