Anyone know how to open ports with the Belkin 4-port router?

I have the Belkin router and I need to open certain ports to be able to connect to irc (identd port 113) and do other things. I disabled DMZ (placing myself outside of the firewall) and it didn't seem to work. So does anyone know how I can open up these ports?

If this is the router model you have, F5D5230-4, then may you want to try port forwarding.
Access the Virtual Server page under Security from the web based config.
