Yes and im not sure bout your router,on our D-Link we didnt have to do anything..
the user ID is dif tho will i still get credit 4 it?
the user id is supposed to be diff. don't know why it just is :D
lol
On my linky router I didn't have to forward any ports either..
so you should not have to do anything either..
you didn't say what router you have though..
I have 4 comps folding behind my linky
Its a belkin :o Very soon to be a linksys:)
I know PC1 My pc i have to turn my software firewall off Sygate after i complete a WU or it hangs
PC 1 is usually in DMZ
PC2 is behind the NAT firewall so i didn't know if it would mess it up or not
Thanks guys:D
With routers, you usually can get by without firewalls on the client computers. My Barracade has it own firewall built in.
They used to hack into my computer when I was directly connect to the cable but ever since I got the router, no more problems. :)
Yea routers have NAT firewalls better then software firewalls
(IE ZA)
I use a firewall on PC1 cuz i run it in DMZ alot
Out of curiosity, why do you need to expose yourself? Can't you just port forward?
Yea i could and plan to
Been having props with my Belkin router only been up for a month or so When i have the money im gonna go get a linksys
So far now its DMZ and a software firewall

You do not need any ports open/forwarded on any NAT routers for Folding to work, nor do you need DMZ. Simply default settings on the routers work fine, since Folding makes all client based requests...NAT routers always let out client based requests.

I think he might be running a server or something for which the Belkin router is not letting him do easily. My guess anyway.
My Barracade forwards my webserver to 8080 because Charter Cable blocked 80.
